i haven't posted it here. i was directed to it via james fallows, so i in turn will direct you to him. i do so because i like what he has to say, and i couldn't say it any better.
for those of you who don't know, james fallows is one of my favorite political/current events writers. he writes with authority and clarity, but only after considerable experience and research. he also has my dream job, by the way.

Very interesting ... very interesting ... I would say that a few things changed between '94 and when we invaded. For one, we thought Saddam had WMD's. We also had lots of international support (it may have fallen away later, but it was there in the beginning). However, these points aside, Cheney's analysis is still very pertinent and even prophetic of some of the challenges we're facing now.
