i have an iPhone!

iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone. iPhone.

yes, that's right. i threw caution to the wind and blew all my savings and got an iPhone. i blew off work today, too. didn't even call in. stood in line all day in downtown chicago, and man it was worth it. em, i hope you're not mad, given that we're getting married next week and all. pretty please? but seriously, guys, this thing is great. i love it! it's a touch screen ipod and phone and internet thingy....it's just awesome! and it's in my hand! yeah!!

just kidding.

i really just wanted to see if somehow, somewhere, this ends up on a google search. i figured if i used the word "iPhone" enough times, if they ever indexed this entry or whatever they do, it could pop up.

people who know me know that i am a mac enthusiast. i even check macrumors.com on regular basis (mainly in the hopes that there will be a mac tablet/multi-touch laptop in the near future). and i ate up a lot of the crumbs that apple would leak over the last six months about this device. but really. i couldn't find myself buying one of these things for a while (at least until the next generation comes out, or my contract w/ verizon ends).

this whole thing's been so blown out of proportion. and people are right to make light of it, and poke fun at it. here are my favorites:

this is from the daily show. i especially like the part w/ the stroller:

then there is a delicious piece of satire from the onion, as well. just follow this link.

and there's one i won't post here, because it is slightly risque, but for another fairly funny one, go to myspace videos and search for "ieverything."

and the colbert report of course had to chime in:

and this unfortunate gaff by meredith viera:

that last one....ouch. talk about potentially good marketing turned into really bad marketing. wow.

so, that's my iPhone launch day retrospective.
