i reported for my second day of work today. i'm training to be a claims adjuster (which in my humble-but-haughty opinion i believe should be spelled 'adjustor') for a high risk auto insurance company. already i am afraid that i am somehow abandoning something dear to me, my true aspirations and all that. so right after work today i went and bought a couple of books and journals, really just to comfort myself i think. (and this is following going out right after work yesterday and buying a lot of clothes for my new job, and a wonderful birthday weekend w/ emily including meals out...none of which i think i'll regret much, but still. i've probably spent too much. especially these last couple of days on my own.) i suppose that i am afraid of the uncertainty of it all. uncertainty of my dreams and myself, the dreamer. but there are worse things than uncertainty, i guess. like the certainty of failure.

this is all overly-sentimental, philosophical garbage. please disregard.
